How to transfer your programs    


SoftRescue™ was designed to make deployment of any Windows based operating system as fast and easy as possible. In addition to saving all your software, mail settings and selected folders, it secures a completely virus-, worm-, hijacker-, and spyware-free operating system. 

1. How to transfer.

SoftRescue™ is designed to make it possible even for the novice computer user to transfer applications and games:

1. Install SoftRescue™ Pro Edition on your old computer.

2. Start by scanning your PC for installed software, games, files, and e-mail.

3. Select the destination for the transfer archive.
Step 3


 
4. Select the files and e-mail you want transferred.
Step 4


 
5. Select programs and games you want to transfer to the new OS installation. We recommend that you only select applications you know well and commonly use.

6. Click on the "Start Rescue" button. The transfer file will be written to the selected location.

2. How to restore.
 
1. Install SoftRescue™ Pro Edition on the new computer. If you have lost your copy of SoftRescue, you can download it here.

2. Click the "Restore Software" tab, and then select the archive to be transferred.

3. Select applications to be restored. If the transfer archive includes files, Favorites, and Outlook e-mail files, they will be restored to current user.

4. Click the "Restore Software" button. Be aware that depending on how many applications you are restoring and the speed of your computer, this process may take a while to complete.

5. After the transfer is complete, we strongly recommended restarting your computer.
